Samsung Hints at Android Handset in First Half of ’09

PC World has an article today regarding some plans from Samsung to release netbooks and handsets this year.  Without naming Android specifically, they lead us to believe that a phone is due in the first half.

In the first half of this year, for touch-screen phones we will expand our line-up and upgrade some of the functions including the user interface and for smart phones expand our line-up and provide various OSes to satisfy the diverse needs of our customers.”  – Chi Youngcho, via conference call.

The rest of the article covers the follow up to their NC10 netbook.  Wouldn’t it be fun to see a Samsung Android netbook as well as a handset?  All this time, we’re thinking phones and they surprise us with a netbook.
