Want the RC33 Update Now? Go Ahead and Grab It!

Thanks to the guys over at xda-developers, G1 owners now have the ability to go download the latest version of Android.  Our tip came courtesy of Hetal Patel, who’s apparently the one who figured out how to grab it manually. As of the writing of this post, there are 4 links to download it from.  The original Google link looks to be a dead end though.

As always, messing around with your phone in a manner like this is not backed by HTC, Google, or T-Mobile.  If you brick your handset, you’re not going to get sympathy from them.  Proceed with caution!

How much internal memory is needed for the update? I have a modest amount of apps downloaded and have 12MB of available space, hoping this is enough.
