AndroidGuys is G1 Optimized!

As we continue to grow AndroidGuys, we are constantly exploring new ways to enhance your favorite site. With the growing number of G1 users out there, we want to make sure we look good on your browsers, so today we are pleased to announce that AndroidGuys is optimized for Android and iPhone!

For a long time, we’ve wanted to make a mobile version of our site but were unable to find the right tools.  We came across a really cool plug-in this morning called WP-Touch which detects your browser type – exactly what we needed.  This plug-in makes it possible for visitors to get a no-frills version of the site.  The best part is that the domain name stays the same.  No need to worry about adding a subdomain or add-on to the URL.

So G1 and future Android owners, be sure to check us out on your handset!

  • Schweetness!! I use wp-touch on my personal blog as well. Very handy!

  • Excellent! Looks real good on my G1.

  • Copy Cats 😉

Kidding, we both unknowingly did this mobile update for our Android sites the same weekend with the same plugin.

Gotta stop this mind meld thing – now when will the other Android sites pick up on this?

  • Great work Guys,

    Looks Great!

Would love to hear back from any developers out there be able to make a application for the Android Market?

Just a simple app that allows access to our Most Recent, Most Viewed, Top Rated videos e.t.c. which in turn can be viewed on Android devices?

    Please email [email protected]
