First Looks at HTC Hero Firmware [VIDEO]

The 17 year old Android Hacker known as Haykuro has somehow gotten his hands on the firmware for the HTC Hero.  The yet-to-be formally announced handset looks like its flavor of Cupcake will have extra yumminess baked into it.

The 5 minute video shows improvements and enhancements to features like the calendar, dialer, and music player.  There's also the addition of some social networking clients like Twitter and Facebook.  Oh yeah, you'll see something about HTC Sync which has many to think that it has something to do with Outlook support.

The first thing many of you G1 owners out there will want to know is, "When can I get my hands on that?"  Well naturally, the ROM is not available for public consumption yet.  If and when it does arrive in downloadable form, we'll be glad to let you know!

Fun Fact: Shazam tells us that the song used in the video is 'Green Grass of Tunnel' by Múm

You can find this, and many other Android-related videos on AndroidUploads.
