Wattpad Announces Android eBook App

wattpadWattpad, a top ebook community website, has announced the launch of their Android app.  They’ve been rather successful with other  (BlackBerry, iPhone) versions of their app sitting at or near the top spots in their respective markets so they’re expecting big things from Android.

With over 20 new Android-based phones available before the end of 2009, Android has definitely reached critical mass.  We are extremely pleased to bring the Wattpad experience to all Android users. – Eva Lau, COO of Wattpad.

Founded in 2006, Wattpad has become quite the hot spot for writers who want to publish their works to millions of book fans. According to Wattpad, over 10,000 stories are published every month.  Further, they claim that over 2.5 million people visit them every month between the web and mobile sites.
