HighScreen PP5420 – From Russia, With Love

highscreen_pp5420In the same vein as Kogan’s Agora Pro and the ONE from Geek’s Phone comes Vobis Computer’s HighScreen PP5420. By this we mean an Android handset from a relatively unknown company.

The Russian-based Vobis handset has what appears to be a secondary screen at the bottom.  Presumably, this would act as a menu or multipurpose button since the lacks the 5 prerequisite Android buttons.

Specs include:

  • Qualcomm MSM7201ATM (528MHz)
  • Quad-band GSM: 850/900/1800/1900
  • 3” WQVGA TFT-LCD touchscreen
  • 3 MP Camera w/ Autofocus
  • 256MB ROM / 128MB RAM
  • microSD card slot
  • WiFi, GPS, FM Radio
  • Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, mini USB, TV-Out

This device is expected to launch sometime in the coming week so be sure to check back for more information as it becomes available.  Our preliminary conversion shows the device selling for about $512 US dollars.
