Android Around the World: Bouygues Telecom Starts Selling Samsung Galaxy
The Samsung i7500 Galaxy handset has gone on sale in France.Â Available on a 2-year contract via Bouygues Telecom, the phone is selling for â‚¬139 which comes out to about $195 US dollars.Â This puts it in the same ballpark as the previous Android handsets we’ve seen.
This marks the first Samsung device to feature Android as the OS and the only other major handset manufacturer to release one outside of HTC.Â The beauty is packed with 8GB memory, a 5 MP camera, and a 3.2″ AMOLED touchscreen.Â Other specs include WiFi, GPS, and HSDPA.
