Philips V808 Headed to China Mobile, Lacking Key Features
Sorry, but we have to throw some cold water all over your Philips V808 hopes. We just learned of this handset a few days ago so it’s not exactly like we’ve been built up for a long time. Engadget Mobile is reporting that this device is headed to China Mobile and will run the OPhone OS. For those keeping score at home, this means it’s not the Google Experience. It will likely end up running carrier selected apps and using their own market.
We’ve also learned that the Philips V808 is going to lack support for 3G, WiFi and (not too surprisingly) multitouch. Ouch!
