Share and Discover Favorite Hang-outs with UrbanKite

urbankite_001UrbanKite is an Android app that integrates twitter and location-based services in a unique way. With their application, users can find nearby businesses by searching or choosing a specific category. They encourage participation by sharing experiences via tweets related to that business. While said tweets are shown in your normal Twitter timeline, it’s also associated with the business for fellow UrbanKite users whenever they do a search of their own. Your tweets automatically contain a link to the business details page so those who don’t use UrbanKite can still get more information on places you like!

Users can also mark their favorite spots with stars so it’s easier to Tweet about them later! This is somewhat like casting a vote and helps all UrbanKiter users find hot spots in a given area. As UrbanKite explains, it’s like “ for places”.
