Say Hello to the LG GW880

lw_gw_880_001It looks as if the GW620 “Eve” is no longer going to be the first Android handset to come out of LG’s camp.  Instead that honor now belongs to the GW880.  We’ve got a few specs and pictures of the device to ogle thank to a site called sina (translated).

Here’s the details on the hardware so far:

  • 3.5″  WVGA Touch Screen
  • 512 MB ROM/256MB RAM
  • GPS, Bluetooth
  • 5 mp Camera w/Auto-Focus and Flash

As bad as Google Translate does with this article, we believe we’re seeing that this handset will have both front and rear cameras as well as CMMB / MBBMS Mobile TV support.

It appears to have a volume rocker, a dedicated camera button, and USB connection on one side while the other has a power button, lock, and “back” button.

Don’t expect to see too many of these here in the US.  The TD-SCDMA is a proprietary 3G connection for China and there’s no confirmation of WiFi yet either.  This this will have OPhone all over it.  The GW880 wouldn’t be of much use to us Yanks.

We can’t imagine that the GW620 will a great deal different than this.  At least we have a hint as to how the design might look.

We chat wit NIKE TN h a soldier in a watchtower. There is a bag of rubbish on the floor: chocolate wrappers, cans and paper, the detritus of the young. Outside, Breaking the Silence, a group dedicated to sold NIKE RIFT ier testimony of abuse of Palestinians in the occupied territories, is taking a group of visitors around. Next to them is a conservative group, showing the settlements. The a NIKE SKYLINE tmosphere is tense; the soldiers are watching in case they clash. I ask if the liberal groups ever attack the conservative ones, and our guide laughs and shakes his head.
Confrontation in Is NIKE STRUCTURE rael is now the domain of the right, like the young activists of the neo-Zionist Im Tirtzu who recently targeted the progressive New Israel Fund with posters depicting its Israeli director with a horn in her forehead. A few streets away, settlers have painted naive scenes of Jewish life on a wall, political graffiti minimising the oppressive force of the occupation. The captions are in English:

    Liberation, return, rebuilding 1967
“The children have returned to their own borders." cf Jer 31:17
