Say Hello to the LG GW880
It looks as if the GW620 “Eve” is no longer going to be the first Android handset to come out of LG’s camp. Instead that honor now belongs to the GW880. We’ve got a few specs and pictures of the device to ogle thank to a site called sina (translated).
Here’s the details on the hardware so far:
- (TD-SCDMA)/EDGE
- 3.5″Â WVGA Touch Screen
- 512 MB ROM/256MB RAM
- GPS, Bluetooth
- 5 mp Camera w/Auto-Focus and Flash
As bad as Google Translate does with this article, we believe we’re seeing that this handset will have both front and rear cameras as well as CMMB / MBBMS Mobile TV support.
It appears to have a volume rocker, a dedicated camera button, and USB connection on one side while the other has a power button, lock, and “back” button.
Don’t expect to see too many of these here in the US. The TD-SCDMA is a proprietary 3G connection for China and there’s no confirmation of WiFi yet either. This this will have OPhone all over it. The GW880 wouldn’t be of much use to us Yanks.
We can’t imagine that the GW620 will a great deal different than this. At least we have a hint as to how the design might look.
