Be Heard! Vote in the ADC2 With Your Android Phones!

adc2Ready to get your hands on all sorts of new Android apps?  Head to the Android Market and download the new “Android Developer Challenge 2″ from Google.  Once installed, the app will randomly present users with titles for downloading and scoring based on specific criteria.  According to the Android Developers blog, originality and effective use of the Android platform are among the factors.  Your votes will help determine which apps make it to the 2nd round.  From there, the “industry experts” will weigh in, along with more user votes to determine the best of the best.

The first round of judging will last at least two weeks from today. Judging will continue until we receive a sufficient number of votes to identify the top 20 applications in each of the 10 categories (200 apps total) that qualify for the second round.

During the second round, judging will occur through a combination of user voting and input from a panel of industry experts. User voting will continue to occur via Android Developer Challenge 2 and will account for 40% of the final score that each app receives in round two. The remaining 60% of the final score will be determined by the industry expert panel.

As you’re trying them out, let AndroidGuys know which ones you like best!  Any apps you are looking forward to trying out?

I'm glad you can skip entries (through the menu), but the notification format is quite annoying. Good luck to all fellow developers!
