Archos A5 Walkthrough [VIDEO]

DSC00530Nicolas Charbonnier (Charbax) passed along his video walkthrough of the new Archos A5 MID where he shows off of a handful of the device’s features.  While he’s generally a fan of all things Archos, he is extremely pleased with his Android-based A5, calling it the “most significant alternative to Apple’s and Microsoft’s portable multimedia consumer electronics products on the market for real tech geeks.”  He  adds,  “In my opinion, Archos already has released the industry’s best ipod touch and zune HD killer.”

In the 15 minute video, Charbax demonstrates Last.fm, web browsing, 720p video, and more.  This is the first glimpse we’ve seen of HDMI output through the HDMI Mini Dock as well as Bluetooth mouse support.

As much as he likes the device, he does see room for improvement.  Items like audio-sync and large MKV files types could use a little bit of tweaking.  He also puts together a small wish list of features he’d like to see implemented in future firmware updates.
