Huawei Technologies To Offer More Android Handsets

Huawei_LogoThis shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but Huawei Technologies is reporting that they plan to release multiple Android-base phones over the coming months.  Why is this not a surprise?  Well, they are members of the Open Handset Alliance.  It's practically expected.

China-based Huawei will launch a "series" of handsets in Europe, the Asia Pacific and Latin America.  Their first handset, the Pulse is already selling through T-Mobile U.K. and is available on a pay-as-you-go plan.

While on the subject of Huaewei's Pulse handset, it should be noted that a variant (model U8220-6) just picked up some FCC approval.  With 3G support and 850/900MHz bands, it could be headed for Bell, Telus, Rogers, Fido, or maybe AT&T.  As EngadgetMobile points out, it's unlikely that would be the first Android handset to land on Ma Bell.

When not obsessing over phones and tablets, Scott can be found listening to house music, watching the Green Bay Packers, or catching the latest movie.
