Google News Optimized for Android

google_news02Last week saw Google announcing that their mobile News site has been optimized for Android (and other WebKit-enabled browsers). This new version brings many of the same features found on the desktop client, including personalized favorites.

The new homepage displays more stories and pictures then previously, but maintains the look and feel of the desktop experience. If you're ever set up favorites or done any personalization, you will notice that your settings made the transition to the new mobile site.

EDITOR NOTE: This article was originally intended for publication on November 22nd, but do to scheduled server maintenance, we pushed it back.   We realize that this might not be breaking news to you, but we felt obligated to report it nonetheless.
