Have Santa’s Voice Guide Your Sleigh Around Town with New TeleNav Plugin

telenav_toys_for_totsTeleNav have announced a new plugin for their GPS Navigator application.  Starting immediately, users can have Santa guide them around town this winter season.  For only 99¢, you download Santa's voice and hear the jolly one say things like "Ho! Ho! Ho!  Your destination is on the left!"

The best part of this is that all of the proceeds generated from said purchases will go to Toys for Tots!  A great price for a great cause.

To get to Santa's voice using your phone:

  • Launch TeleNav GPS Navigator
  • Select “Share and More”
  • Select “Preferences”
  • Select “Navigation Audio”
  • Select “Guide Tones”
  • Select “Santa Claus”

To get to Santa's voice through TeleNav's website:

  • Go to TeleNav.com
  • Select “My TeleNav” on the top right (you’ll need your PIN number to login)
  • Select “My Settings”
  • Select “Device Settings”
  • Select “Santa Claus”

Note:  The Santa voice is only compatible with TeleNav GPS Navigator v. 5.5 and 5.8. To find out if your phone supports him, you'll need to check here!

  • Wow. Does anybody actually use TeleNav anymore? Now that Google Navigation is out, I would assume that this is an also-ran. Oh, that's right, only Droids, G1's and MyTouches have GNav. Heroes, Erises, Cliqs, Moments, and Behold 2's don't. Gotta love fragmentation.

  • TeleNav has more than 13 million subscribers. They are the one powering ATT Navigator and Sprint Navigation, and Alltel Navigation
