Google Trademarks “Nexus One”
Just in case there was any doubt about the name of the upcoming Google phone, the rumored “Nexus One’ moniker has been all but confirmed with a trademark being approved. A quick search at the US Patent and Trademark Office website shows a trademark filed by Google on December 10 for the term “Nexus One” under the category: ‘Goods and Service: Mobile phones.’
Between this development, the recent retail packaging pictures, and the boot animation video, info about the Nexus One continues to come at a quick pace. If the rumored January 5 release date is correct, Google certainly waited until the last minute for this trademark. I just hope those $199 price tag rumors are true so I can afford to replace my slowly aging G1.
