More Motorola XT701 Pics and Specs Coming Together

xt701_2

The guys over at LeakDroid stumbled across a handful of pictures of the upcoming Motorola XT701.  Posted originally on the blog at zol.com.cn (translated), we’re getting a few more decent glimpses of the “Sholes Tablet”.  If the phone looks a little Droid-like, that’s because for all practical purposes it is a Droid, sans physical QWERTY.

The specs that have been gathered so far seem to hinge around the following:

  • 3.7 – Inch touchscreen
  • Android 2.1
  • FM Radio
  • HD Video Recording
  • 5-megapixel Camera

It’s said that once this arrives on China Unicom, the camera will be bumped up to an 8-megapixel picture snapper.  No word on pricing or launch yet.  If we were to guess, we’d say this will likely end up with a 600 MHz processor with 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.  Of course, we’d love to find out that we’re underestimating it!

Question, if the G1 and Hero have a ‘chin’, does count as a ‘hip’?
