Preview Movies and Buy Tickets With Fandango!

Fandango Movies, the online movie ticket ordering website has made its way to Android! You can now watch trailers and read reviews directly from your phone. Fandango will find your nearest theater either by GPS or by simple entering your zip code.

In the In Theaters tab you can search movies by Opening This Week, Top Box Office, and Near Me. The movies are listed displaying the movie rating, runtime, release date, and fan rating. Once you select a film, you’re shown the next showtimes at your nearest theaters. There are also detailed descriptions of new releases and a Coming Soon section, much like their website.

Fandango brings the best movie purchasing experience directly to your phone. This app is available for all Android devices for free in the Android Market.

    Hated it!

I downloaded the demo on Thursday, and tried to buy tickets to see Avatar in 3D, at my local theater. The app would not make the financial transaction. I tried several times, and it kept giving me an error. So I simply switched to the browser, and logged into my Fandango account. I was able to make the purchase, get the email, and load the barcode for the ticket guy at the door…all from the browser.

    Fandango app = FAIL!

I love Fandago, I've been using them for years. It really is nice to have access to it on your Android phone. And even better it's a free app.
