Motorola Will Be Launching 20 to 30 Android Phones in 2010

Great news for Motorola fans!  Motorola’s Asia Pacific Vice President Spiro Nikokoulos recently stated in an interview with CNET Asia that the company will be launching 20 to 30 Android phones across the globe in 2010.  The VP also said that not every phone would make it to every market, so there will probably be regional variants of many of the phones. We have already heard of the of the Shadow, the Devour, the Backflip, the Ruth, the Zeppelin and several others which may or may not be launching in China.  What other handsets could there be?  2010 is truly in the year of Android.

Motorola is really bringing Android to the fore front. This should make more people understand that Android is to phones what Windows is to PCs.

This is a disastrous move on their part. If I am gonna have to wade through feature lists to select a phone that suits me I'm gonna end up with iPhone every time. Guaranteed. Not only have they ruined their already shaky brand .. it will cost them 30x overhead to maintain 30 different phones .. wrangling with suppliers support issues etc. all multiplied by thirty. Everything multiplied by 30 .. except sales .. which is divided nbot multiplied.

it seems to me that you fail to realize that motorola is MAINLY in the Phone busines, with some branches working on different communication and security devices, while Apple is all over the tech market with gadgets and software, and the iPhone is only a product from their list. So your whole point with the high maintanance is relative. Apple not only has to keep an eye on their iPhone, but on a lot of different things to, so it's kinda the same situation.
