Rumor: Sony Ericsson to Unveil QWERTY Android at MWC

Our good friend Loïc over at has just passed along some interesting news (translated) regarding Sony Ericsson.  According to a source of his, the handset maker plans to unveil and Android-based handset with a Blackberry-esque QWERTY.  The only other details they have to go by is that it should have a 5-megapixel camera.  The handset is alleged to have a working codename of Abelin.

If true, this will make the 3rd Android-based smart phone from Sony Ericsson behind the Xperia X10 and the Robyn.  Mobile World Congress is merely weeks away so we’ll get to the bottom of the rumor either way.
