SugarSync Adds Features, Refreshes UI

Yesterday  SugarSync announced a refreshed version of their Android application as well as some new features.  The changes were designed to improve the way in which users access, sync, and stream their files. Among the additions to the app are e-mail address auto-complete which helps finish completing addresses in your contacts when you go to share your file(s) or folder(s) with a friend.

The new version of SugarSync also gives users the ability to check the status of uploads and downloads.  This will be handy in those cases where your internet connection comes and goes or jumps to and from WiFi.

Uploads also get a boost with optimization for faster uploads as well as multiple uploads.  And of course, the new SugarSync of course comes  with performance and stability fixes.

User beware: SugarSync is very aggressive about signing on new users by offering bonus space to those who do the referring. What the don't say, however, is that this space will all disappear on Jan. 1, 2011. That's right: in 8 months, your account drops back to 2 GB. It would be fine if they were upfront about this, but the information gets buried deep in their terms of use: see point 11 on this page:https://www.sugarsync.com/referral_terms.html
