Movistar to Release Low Cost Android Handset for Spain

Movistar, a Spanish phone carrier, will be launching the Huawei Ivy this June as a low cost Android option for their customers.  With some vanilla specs, the Ivy does not tout any kind of industry leading hardware, but will provide a user with a solid handset for a low price.

The specs are as follows:

  • Android 2.1
  • WiFi, Bluetooth
  • 3 MP camera
  • 2.8 inch touchscreen
  • GPS and Navigation services

The cost for the unit will depend on the kind of tariff plan the user selects, with prices ranging from free to 95 Euros.

The Android Army continues to march forward across the world!
