Want Android 2.2 on Your Droid? Go For It!

Verizon Droid owners will be happy to learn that an unofficial port of Android 2.2 has made its way into the wild today.  At nearly 100 percent operational, the only missing ingredient is WiFi connectivity.  For some, that’s a small price to pay considering all the great stuff that comes with Froyo. The reason for leaving WiFi off is because it protects the original source of the ROM.

If you’re brave enough to do it yourself, the install link and full instructions can be found at MyDroidWorld.  Don’t forget kiddies, there’s always the chance you could brick your phone if you’re not careful.
