Huawei Planning 7-Inch Tablet with 1GHz Processor

In an effort to gain a stronger foothold on the consumer and enterprise market, Chinese hardware marker Huawei is planning an Android tablet of their own.  Running a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it also features a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display (800X480 or 1024X600) and 3G support and telephony functions.

The rest of the device reads like this: Android 2.1 (Eclair), possibly Android 2.2 (Froyo), a speaker with a volume rocker, microSD card slot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, WiFi (b/g), Bluetooth, HDMI port for 720p HD quality video playback. Pretty special stuff if you ask me.

It’s expected that Huawei will be demonstrating the tablet and a few Android-based phones on June 24th at a press conference in Australia.
