Samsung Galaxy S Pro Details Coming Together
The fellas over at Android Central were passed a list of details for the all-but-official Samsung Galaxy S Pro. The 4G -capable handset which is headed for Sprint looks like a standard Galaxy S but with a sliding QWERTY but what’s really under the hood?
The hardware reads very similar with a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, a 4-inch (800×480) Super AMOLED touch screen, sliding QWERTY slider with raised keys, front-facing VGA camera, 5 megapixel camera with 720p video recording capability on back and of course, 4G WiMAX support. The phone is running Android 2.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 UI.
Android Central’s source adds that the screen is gorgeous, providing very dark blacks that “almost look wet”. They did mention that the phone’s body plastic-like but added they could have been working with a prototype. The keyboard won a few points for being raised, soft, and firm. The slider mechanism is said to be very smooth and clicks into place when closed.
