Samsung Galaxy S i9000 Rooted
The folks over at Samdroid have successfully rooted Samsung’s, latest smartphone, Galaxy S i9000. Rooting the phone allows you to install third party applications and custom ROM’s. Rooting a phone comes with a customary warning that there is a chance that things may go wrong and you may brick your phone. But for the adventurous, here is how you root the Galaxy S i9000.
How to install LK2.xx
- Download the i9000_Kernel_LK9_01b9.7z
- Unzip the package
- Flash with Odin3 as PDA file ( if you want help with this, refer one of their previous posts )
If things don’t go as planned, you can flash the original kernel from JF2
