Droid Set for Android 2.2 Update in July

The Motorola Droid appears poised to be the first handset to see Android 2.2 aside from the Nexus One.  A recently leaked image shows the Droid salted for the update in late July while the brand new Droid X is scheduled for August.  PhoneDog has since received confirmation of the Droid update while Verizon has officially committed to a late summer release for Droid X handsets.
