Make Online Payments Quickly with the Android Payment Chrome Extension

Merchants and consumers rejoice!  The Google Checkout Blog is reporting this week that merchants can now create a QR code containing the information for the items a customer wants using the Android Payment Chrome Extension.  Customers will then scan the QR code with their scanner and be taken to Google Checkout where they can pay on their own.

The Google Checkout blog admits this method may be less than ideal, however its handy in a pinch and when patrons find themselves without cash.

Anyone out there plan on using this?

PortaPayments has been available from Market for months and does the same thing via PayPal, so it seems to be a case of nothing new here.
