Remainder of T-Mobile 2010 Roadmap Reveals Android Phones from HTC, Motorola, and LG

16

The team over at AndroidSpin have gotten their hands on what looks to be the roadmap for T-Mobile over the rest of the year.  Judging by the looks of it, we’ll be seeing at least five more Android phones from handset makers HTC, Motorola, and LG.

Slated with a mid-November release, this LG device would be the first Android handset from the phone maker to  arrive on T-Mobile.  We can see the familiar codename of “Emerald” lined up with an HTC device with a tentative November 5th arrival. Before that though, we should be seeing T-Mobile and/or Motorola making an Android 2.1 announcement for their Cliq and Cliq XT handsets.

As far as the other Android projects, I’m having trouble making out what they might be called.  I’ve put together a bullet list to make sense out of the timeline as it pertains to Android phones.  Any eagle-eyed folks out there able to make heads or tails out of the November devices?  Does Jordan and Begonia look right?

  • myTouch 3G Slide (Maintenance Release?) – TBA  July
  • Samsung Vibrant – July 21
  • Motorola Charm – July 21
  • Motorola Cliq, Cliq XT – Android 2.1 Update – TBA August
  • HTC Vanguard – September 9
  • Motorola Charm Maintenance Release? – TBA Sept
  • HTC Emerald – November 5
  • Motorola Jordan? – November 3
  • Motorola Begonia ? – November 3
  • LG Android phone – mid-November

  1. It's HTC shubert, a windows 7 phone. Begonia is actually "beyond" and I'd bet dollars to donuts that the LG at years end is the Android Tablet that LG has said would be available by years end.

  2. Not sure how much it helps, but I think the August HTC entry says "MyTouch All MR" which could be the previously announced Froyo update for the Original Mytouch, 1.2, and Fender editions, since Slide is mentioned for July.

    Also: Emerald! *fanboy squeal*

  3. Looks like you missed the myTouch 3g MR or whatever those letters are after it due out sometime in august, the htc logo is covered by the android spin watermark and so is the android logo presumably, wonder what exactly that could be

  4. Is it true that the HTC vangaurd is supposedly the HTC Vision phone coming to tmobile? and it has HSPA+ support? I'll be pissed if thats the case case I just bought the slide…

    • I'm in the same position. But I promised myself that if a top-line android w qwerty (especially an HTC one) came out later in the year for T-mob, i would just suck it up and buy it.

  5. I think we all will be in for a nice suprise come the holidays. Tmo as been last to release an high power Superphone. The G1 is what put Android on the map. Let’s hope the G2 came be an even better device, however I’m a Mytouch fan and I will wait for the Mytouch HD or whatever the Emerald Project is….
