Latest WordPress for Android (1.3) is a Winner

Don’t tell the iFans this but the Android version of the WordPress application is better than the iPhone counterpart.  Shhh!  The team at Automattic rolled out the latest release (1.3) of the popular blogging tool for Android devices and it adds much desired features to an already strong offering.  In addition to bug fixes and UI enhancements, WordPress now offers visual editing and the ability to check while stats on the go.  It is also now possible to do a bulk editing and moderate comments in chunks rather than one at a time.

Being that I run AndroidGuys using WordPress, I am head over heels in love with the new application.  Speaking for the editorial staff here, these improvements will go a long way to making our jobs easier.  The ability to easily bold, underline, and strikethrough text without messing with code can not be over-emphasized.  Add to that better embedding and resizing options and you have a great tool in your pocket.  If you are a blogger using WordPress for the backside, I definitely recommend this release!

Don’t forget that WordPress for Android is an open source project.  If you’d like to contribute to the code and keep pushing things forward, you should check out the developer blog.

It would be better if it didn't force close every time I select my blog to view! Tried a reinstall and still force closes. Also not so in love with the splash screen, it's 5seconds I could not have to wait.
