PSA: US Cellular’s Samsung Acclaim on Sale Today

Today marks the day that US Cellular begins offering Android devices.  If you live in one of the markets where US Cellular service is offered, you should head to your local store and check out the new Samsung Acclaim.  Sold exclusively through the regional carrier, the Acclaim is powered by Android 2.1 and features a 3.2-inch screen, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.0-megapixel camera.

In terms of software, the Acclaim offers the full Google experience with Search, Maps, YouTube and more pre-loaded on the handset.  US Cellular has also handpicked a handful of titles to add to the experience including Twidroid, Evernote, and The Weather Channel.  Keeping with the carrier’s habit of practicing good customer service, they include their Tone Room Deluxe app service which provides access to over 120,000 ringtones and ringbacks.

Rounding out the experience is a new navigation service created by TeleNav called Your Navigator Deluxe.  Bundled into the $30 smartphone data plan, there are no additional fees or subscriptions required!  Check out a video of the new feature below!
