AndroLib Redesigns and Claims One Billion Downloads

One BILLION downloads!  You can almost hear our favorite Dr. Evil saying it with his maniacal laugh.  No matter how you say it, a billion downloads is a big number and a major milestone to hit.

AndroLib‘s Lead Developer, Nicolas Sorel told TechCrunch in an interview that he calculates that the Android Market has reached that milestone recently, and that Androlib’s own app has been downloaded over 3 million times alone.  Pretty impressive for a third party app provider, and hopefully a wake up call to Google that a crowd sourced Market experience is sorely needed for the Android platform.

Along with this announcement, AndroLib has launched a new design, giving users some cool new features and advanced search capabilities.  If you have not had a chance to check out the site, head on over and see what it is all about!
