Android Helps Sony Ericsson Stay Alive

Well folks, Android has done it again.  Sony Ericsson, a company which hasn't exactly had the best of luck financially in the last few year finally posted their Q2 2010 results.  It appears that during Q2 they managed to finally pull a profit and they are thanking Android. Specifically, SE is crediting the Xperia X10 (which is selling big internationally) and the Vivaz for their success (if you could call it that).

SE is also betting big on X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, so let's hope this trend continues into Q3.  It is nice to see how many wireless companies Android is helping.

I've been an Android fanboy since day one, but I've never had a chance to truly express my voice and be a part of the Android Community. When AndroidGuys starting accepting applications for interns, i saw my opportunity. I joined the AndroidGuys team and haven't looked back!

    Indeed. Not sure why any new phone would have any less than Android 2.1. It's just adding to the fragmentation which sucks, but Android rocks any way you can get it!

    Goes to show normal people dont give a rats ass about 1.6/3.6, they look for a cool looking phone with a cool UI which can make calls.
