Dell Streak To Retail for $299 On AT&T Contract, Release Date Still Not Clear

Dell still won’t say when it will actually start selling and shipping the Streak in United States, but on Tuesday they did clear up a bit of lingering confusion. What exactly did they clear up you might ask?  Well it appears the Streak will be priced at $299.99 with a two-year AT&T contract, or $549.99 without contract. Sounds good to me! Price sounds pretty reasonable for that type of device.

A Dell spokeswoman also said today that the phone will not be launching in July as previously thought.  At this point folks, your guess is as good as mine. I really hope the Dell Streak doesn’t become another Xperia X10, it’s a really nice phone.  I should also mention that you now have the opportunity to sign-up for a pre-sale opportunity. You can do that right here.  Here’s to hoping this phone gets out the door soon folks!

Will you be buying one?

  1. This SUCKS! This was the phone I was going to upgrade from my G1 to. I'm not switching to AT&T though. I'll just have to wait for the Sabor I guess. Thank you Cyanogen for making it possible for me to keep my G1 for so long.

  2. People at the AT&T Store I went to today said that they were supposed to open their display (which they thought had the Streak in it) last Sunday, but it got postponed to this Sunday. Maybe we'll see it then, August 1st?

  3. I was waiting to buy this one… But no TMobile version.. Means.. Dell can keep it… Moving on… Waiting to see what Tmobile comes out with for the Nexus One with Keyboard + HSPA+ aka… HTC Vangard…

  4. Wow. Dell is shooting itself in the foot. They need to get the release date straight. All this messing around is turning me off to actually purchasing this product.
