Android up 350% in the U.K.
Android sales have sky rocketed here in the U.K. by a whopping 350%, pushing Android’s share of the mobile contract market from 3% in the first quarter of the year to 13.2% in the second. The stats come from GfK Retail and Technology Global, the German global knowledge provider. While 13.2% may not be all that much, the contract market in general only grew by 1% in Q2, so people are definitely making the switch to our favorite little green robot. Hopefully the growth will continue in Q3, because I’m starting to get sick of every man and his dog walking around with an iPhone.
