Cricket Wireless Announces Android-Powered Kyocera Sanyo ZIO
Cricket wireless, long-time leader offering no-contract/credit check wireless plans, has added Android to its roster with the Sanyo ZIO by Kyocera. According to businesswire, this phone is said to be available this fall, and is included in the unlimited usage plans that Cricket Wireless offers.
“Sanyo ZIO by Kyocera: available this fall, is a sleek, stylish touchscreen Smartphone powered by the Android™ OS. Users can enjoy unlimited HTML web browsing, email and messaging, media sharing, and access to a robust library of applications through the Android market.”
This new phone has some pretty impressive features for not being in the “top four” providers.

- Up to 6 hour talk time
- Up to 432 hour Standby time
- Up to 4.5 hours video playback time
Since the ZIO is not yet released, there isn’t a whole lot of information available, but from Cricket’s website, you can subscribe for more info, and when it’s released, you’ll know about it first. There’s even a short video explaining why the Zio is the right phone for you.
