Samsung Epic 4G Arrives August 31st, Order Yours Tomorrow!
Late last night while half the US was in bed, Sprint tapped their Samsung Galaxy S series phone, the Epic 4G, with an August 31st launch date. The 4G capable handset will come with a $249.99 price tag ($100 mail-in rebate) and will be available in all Sprint retail channels, including Sprint.com, RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart. Sprint will be opening their stores early that day, 8 a.m. local time. In he meanwhile, interested parties can preorder the handset starting tomorrow, August 13th.
The Epic 4G boasts some seriously impressive hardware with its 4-inch Super AMOLED display, sliding QWERTY, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, dual-cameras, and 16GB microSD card. Like many other Android devices, it also features support for WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, a proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.

Samsung Epic 4G will be available beginning Tuesday, Aug. 31, in all Sprint retail channels, including Sprint.com, Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and national retail partners, RadioShack, Best Buy and Walmart, with Sprint Stores opening at 8 a.m. local time. For the first time ever, Sprint is offering customers a unique opportunity to reserve Samsung Epic 4G for purchase. Customers can reserve their smartphone for purchase at www.sprint.com/epic4g beginning Friday, Aug. 13., while supplies last. Customers who reserve Samsung Epic 4G will be able to complete their purchase beginning Tuesday, Aug. 31, and must complete their purchase no later than 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday, Sept. 1. Through the reservation process, customers will be able to reserve their devices online, pick them up in a Sprint Store, and receive the full retail experience, including Sprint’s Ready Now service.
