Avaya Announces Android-Powered ‘Desktop Video Device’



Earlier this morning Avaya unveiled a new lineup of business class products and service that include the Android-based Avaya Desktop Video Device.  With a sizable 11.6” HD touch screen, HD camera, and dual-mic support, the device provides real-time enterprise communication and collaboration.  The Desktop Video Device comes with Avaya’s new user interface called Flare Experience (PDF) which features touch-and-swipe, drag-and-drop , a virtual Rolodex, and other business-centric tools in a clean, intuitive manner.  Avaya’s UI will eventually roll out to other hardware environments, including PCs, laptops, tablet PCs, and smartphones. Pricing and availability were not disclosed.

    Not to sure if anyone else saw the videos on this thing today….its very cool indeed…not much detail on the $$$ but well worth checking it out
