Rumor: LG Optimus One Coming to Verizon as ‘Vortex’

We’ve said it here plenty of times – LG has next to zero Android presence in the United States.  Watching them unveil phones like last week’s Optimus One and Optimus Chic only make us jealous.  The Ally is good stuff, but where is the great stuff?  According to our friend Kyle (TheDroidGuy), it might start with Verizon’s LG Vortex.

Looking very similar to the Optimus One, it is said to be nearly identical on the inside.  We’re looking at a 600 Mhz CPU, Android 2.2, a 3.2-inch display, and support for GPS, Bluetooth, and FM Radio.  Being that we’re so early on in the rumor cycle, it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that we have no price or launch date to share at this time.  It also shouldn’t surprise to know that we will let you know once we get it!
