Sprint to Announce LG Optimus S for October 31

We’re getting early word that Sprint is set to announce their LG Optimus S handset for availability later this month.  Tagged with a very attractive $49.99 price point, the entry level phone is said to feature Android 2.2, a 3.2-inch HVGA touch display and a 3.2-megapixel camera.  Like they are doing with the Sanyo Zio and Samsung Transform, the Optimus S will take advantage of pre-designed Sprint IDs.  We’ll circle back when we get the ofLook for these in your trick or treat bags as the official release date will be October 31st (Halloween).
