Dell Planning “Android-Based Venue Pro”

PC World is reporting this week that Dell plans to release an Android-based version of their forthcoming Venue Pro handset. The device, which features a bottom sliding keyboard, is one of Dell’s new Windows Phone 7 smart phones. The Venue Pro features a 1GHz Qualcomm chip and a 5-megapixel camera with a general business-like form factor. We’re only a few months away from a few other Dell phones, including the rumored Smoke and Thunder. Let’s hope the hardware maker shows up at CES with bunch of Android goodies!

Anyone intrigued by this form factor?
