GroupMe now on Android, Making Group Text/Voice a Snap

In an article over at TechCrunch, GroupMe has announced that they have officially launched an Android app for their popular group text and voice services.  The app allows you to manage your groups just like you would on the GroupMe site, allowing you to create, contact and even conference call the groups you define.

The way GroupMe works is simple.  You create a group of contacts that you want to group speak to, GroupMe gives that group a unique phone number for you. Which, when you text or call, either texts or creates a conference call that includes all members of the group.  It is a pretty simple method and interface, which makes it a lot easier to broadcast a message.

The app is free and available for download in the Market now.  Use the barcode below to scan on your phone to go right to the download page.  Happy group speaking.
