First Look at Dell’s ‘Stage’ Widgets [VIDEO]

We first learned of Dell’s custom Android UI “Stage” way back in the summer when the Thunder, Smoke, and other devices leaked.  After six months, we finally have an idea what to expect when it rolls out to handsets and tablets.  Thanks to a 7-minute video put together by Streak Smart, we’re getting a glimpse as to what’s up Dell’s sleeves.  There are seven widgets (Contacts, Email, Gallery, Home, Music, Social, and Web) that can be displayed across the phone/tablet.  Note that this may not be final stuff you’re looking at.  Check out the clip below and let us know what you think!

T-Mobile Responds to AT&T Merge Opposition

Well, it’s about time, isn’t it? After all the opposition to the proposed AT&T/T-Mobile merge, Magenta has finally released an official statement. You can read the full statement below, but it basically repeats most of what we heard at the Senate hearing over a month ago. T-Mobile essentially supports the deal, stating that both companies are in a “spectrum crunch”, and the merge would solve this issue, while providing vast amounts of coverage to Americans. No word on how the FCC will respond to this statement, but rest assured, they’re taking a good hard look at the deal itself.

The reviewer pretty well covers a lot of what’s wrong with this UI. Overall it looks clunky.
