HTC Legend to Get Froyo in Coming Weeks

That’s right, the Legend is getting some Froyo love! HTC has announced that they’ll begin rolling out Froyo (Android 2.2) to their unibody Legend devices in the coming weeks. HTC says that the first to see the update will be unbranded devices, followed by carrier-branded Legends. This is due to the update having to go through the approval processes for each carrier. HTC ensures everyone that it won’t take long for the carriers to approve it. We had initially reported that the Legend would be getting Froyo in Q3, so it’s a little delayed. But at least it’s getting 2.2. HTC could’ve pulled a Motorola and just not released it.

No word on newer features, but hey, it’s Froyo. What more can you ask for?
