Oh Hi There! Droid 2 Global Sneaks onto Verizon Website at $199



So much for the big press release and advertising blitz to kick off the Droid 2 Global.  Motorola’s new CDMA/GSM world-traveler has already made its way onto Verizon’s website and is currently hiding in plain sight with a $199.99 price tag.  Like pretty much every other smart phone on the planet, this price is with a two year service agreement and mail-in rebate.  In the event you are new to this whole Android thing, the Droid 2 Global runs Android 2.2 and features a screaming 1.2GHz processor, a 3.7-inch display, 8GB internal memory with another 8GB microSD installed.  As is the case with most of today’s new handsets, the phone also has 3G Mobile Hotspot with support for up to 5 devices.  If you do any traveling abroad, you’ll be wise to consider the Droid 2 Global at is offers support for Quad Band GSM in more than 200 countries
