    No Sprint deal!?!?!?!?!

  • Getting a free or discounted phone in exchange for a 2-year agreement is not a deal. 99.9% of the time, the plans that you have to choose from in order to obtain the subsidized phone pays for the phone multiple times over during the 2 year period. Do the math! You are MUCH better off buying the phone outright and then choosing the best plan to fit your needs.

I did the math. It’s actually much cheaper to get the subsidized phone. Unsubsidized plans are usually about $10 less than subsidized plans. That’s $240 savings over two years. With the G2 the full price is $599.99. At $49.99 that’s $550 in savings.

I have called around the Target stores in Houston, Texas. According to the electronic department Target does not have T-mobile contract phones nor do they sell the plans for it. (They only carry T-Mobile Prepaid Cards). So not sure what state this deal is for.

Also, the deal doesn’t say if existing customers can get the deal. So I am assuming you can’t upgrade with them.
