Get the Gingerbread Launcher On Your Froyo Device

While we wait for the first Gingerbread-based phone (Nexus S) to arrive, we’ll be content to sample a flavor of Gingerbread on our Froyo handsets.  Modaco’s Paul O’Brien has extracted the Gingerbread launcher out of the emulator ROM and made it available for all devices running Froyo. Combined with the Gingerbread-keyboard, this can give you a bit of an impression what Gingerbread is like. Your phone doesn’t even need to be rooted! There aren’t many new features in this launcher, but it looks cool and is a little less laggy, though.
