Android-Based Pantech P8000 Appears Headed to AT&T

South Korean handset maker Pantech looks to be cooking up and Android phone with AT&T compatibility. According to documents pieced together by Phone Scoop, a bar-style handset featuring support GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA 850/1900 has been confirmed by the FCC as well as the Bluetooth SIG. Very little is known about the P8000 beyond these little tidbits. Our gut tells us this will be a low-end-of-the-totem pole type of phone, but that’s quite alright. LG has been doing just fine with their Optimus line of phones, and we don’t hear anyone complaining about choice. Look for more details as we can gather them.
