HTC Wildfire Expected to see Froyo Rollout in Europe This Week, World Tour to Ensue

Our European friends will be happy to learn that their HTC Wildfire will be seeing Android 2.2 within the week.  HTC’s Facebook page taps the update to start this week with the rest of the world seeing Froyo by February.  Here in the United States, the Wildfire is available on Alltel, where the Android 2.1-powered phone is a bargain at $29.99.

We know many of you have been asking for information about an update for your Wildfire. Well, we have good news! Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) on Wildfire is scheduled to begin rolling out this week in Europe, reaching all areas of the world by February. Thanks for your patience as these updates roll out; we think you’ll enjoy the final product.

Keep a close eye on your Wildfire over the next few months as Froyo arrives!
