Playstation Phone May be Called Xperia Play, Debut in April

Here’s a bit of a 2-for-1 Playstation Phone rumor for you guys to chat about.  Engadget believes that the hotly anticipated handset may end up with the name of Xperia Play.  They point to a handful of trademarks filed by Sony Ericsson as well as some web domains.  It seems the company has also registered for Xperia Arc, Xperia Duo, and Xperia Neo.  Further, their PR company has registered for the domains of, .net, and .org.  If not specifically for usage as the name of the device, perhaps it’s part of a new line of handsets or user experience.

According to Pocket-Lint, sources have indicated that the phone will arrive in April after a Mobile World Congress debut.  Bittersweet stuff for those expecting to see the phone in Las Vegas next month.
